OPPO F19 Pro+ 5G is expected to be launched in India in early March

OPPO indeed seems to be on a roll this year, announcing one brilliant launch after another. On January 18th, it launched the much-talked-about mobile phone called Reno5 Pro 5G, and in less than a couple of months, it is gearing up for yet another major launch- the OPPO F19 Pro+ 5G.

Offered at a price range of around Rs. 25,000, this smartphone is likely to cater to the expectations of buyers looking for a mid-range smartphone. Let’s look at some of the highlights of the phone that are expected to make it stand apart in this segment:

5G technology and other features that make it a futuristic phone!

The phone is likely to run on the MediaTek 5G Dimensity 800U chip that supports a dual-mode 5G sim. Going by industry rumours, it boasts a super-fast memory, thanks to the eight powerful cores of up to 2.4GHz.

The phone, in all likelihood, will come in an all-new 360-degree wrap-around avatar featuring 8 antennas. In terms of connectivity, you can use 4G Internet speed by default, and 5G needs to be manually enabled. In fact, the phone will offer Smart 5G 3.0 technology, wherein it switches between 4G and 5G networks seamlessly, depending on network availability.

However, you will have to turn on 5G for this since enabling 4G by default helps in battery optimisation. Talking about the battery, the buzz is that the 4310mAh battery is long-lasting and comes with Super Night-time Standby Feature. This feature, specially designed for night-time, ensures minimal power consumption overnight.

Unmatched camera features at this price point!

Coming to camera features which is one of the key considerations for buyers of today’s times, the OPPO F19 Pro+ 5G is likely to offer four rear cameras designed into one piece. This is ideally in sync with the subtle and fuss-free design concept of the series.

This photo shows how OPPO F19 Pro+ 5G will help users take clear videos even at night thanks to an AI-Highlight-Video feature.

If insider sources are to be believed, the quad-camera package will comprise a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP wide-angle macro camera, a 2MP Portrait Mono camera, and a 2MP Macro Mono camera. If insider sources are to be believed, the quad-camera package will comprise a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP wide-angle macro camera, a 2MP Portrait Mono camera, and a 2MP Macro Mono camera.

This camera smartphone is going to be ideal for videography. You can expect to make the most of the large 1/2inch 48MP sensor, coupled with OPPO’s proprietary Ultra Night Video algorithm. This algorithm is capable of improving night-time video performance by detecting and automatically applying night-time graphics algorithms. If this turns out to be true, you will get brighter videos during the night with a better dynamic range and richer colours.

This is expected to be further complemented by the HDR video technology, which comes in very handy to capture overexposed or dimly-lit situations. Additionally, we might also get the Focus Lock feature to track any subject in focus, even if it is in motion. The market is rife with speculations that the camera will also offer other attractive features such as Dual View Video, AI Scene Enhancement 2.0, Dynamic Bokeh, and so on.

Minimalist design that attracts attention

The OPPO F19 Pro+ 5G is expected to flaunt a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED type display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a screen resolution of 1080x2400 pixels. Likely to exhibit a bezel-less display, the phone, I believe, will strike a chord with new-age smartphone buyers, thanks to its minimalistic, sleek design.

If the brand manages to pack in such premium features on this phone, I think it will be commendable, given that the pocket pinch is not too high. Going by the buzz in the market, it will get many takers who don’t want to overspend, and yet expect a fairly feature-rich phone. Personally speaking, I’m eagerly awaiting the launch of this smartphone and see how it fares in the Indian market!
